This is likely looking north along Evers Rd. at Callaghan.  At the time, Bandera Rd. followed what is now Evers Rd. between Benrus and today's Loop 410, where it then made a dogleg to the west.

This is at the intersection of Vance Jackson on the NE corner.  The monument is still there today.
