The far west side of Bexar County — the area outside Loop 1604 roughly between Bandera Rd. and the Medina River — is the fastest growing area in the county. As a result, there are several major road expansion projects underway or in the works. This page consolidates information that I know or can find about the various known projects from TxDOT, Bexar County, the City of San Antonio (COSA), the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority (ARMA), and developers.
Status info for TxDOT projects is current as of 11/11/25, Bexar County/ARMA projects as of 11/9/25, and COSA projects as of 11/8/25.
